How our values work

Where every number comes from

Every value on this site is copied straight from one of two real community lists — elvebredd (with item values from adoptmewfl.com, which I verify sits on the same scale on every refresh) or AMVGG (its own list, on its own scale, plus its 3-star demand ratings). Each number is shown verbatim and labeled with the exact list it came from. I never average the two, never convert one scale into the other, and never type a value in by hand — there is no dial anywhere on this site that nudges a pet's value. A number comes from a recorded source, or it doesn't appear at all.

The site rebuilds itself every few hours and pulls the newest numbers from both lists. If a source is down, nothing gets invented — the last really-recorded numbers stay until the source is back. And every pull is saved: I keep day-by-day recorded value history, with elvebredd-scale points reaching back to 2024 (the earliest recovered from Internet Archive snapshots of the list itself — real numbers it published on real dates). AMVGG-scale tracking is new — it started in July 2026 and grows every single day.

Why you see two lists

Because they honestly disagree. I re-measure the gap between elvebredd and AMVGG on every refresh, and pet by pet they genuinely differ — sometimes a lot. Smart traders already compare lists before a big trade, so I built that in: you pick whose values you trade on in Settings, and the site shows you that list's real numbers — never a secret mash-up of both. When your list doesn't cover a pet, it says “watching” instead of quietly swapping in the other list's number. Two lists disagreeing isn't a bug — hiding the disagreement would be.

How the community signals work

Our numbers can't be bought — there's nothing to buy. Rating a shared trade WIN, FAIR, or LOSE takes a real signed-in Roblox account, and the database allows exactly one vote per account per trade (tap again to take it back or change it). Daily caps stop spam-clicking from ever stacking a number. And votes are shown as anonymous totals only — like “12 W · 4 fair” — never who voted which way; a voter's identity never leaves the server.

The Community Pulse on each pet page works the same honest way: it counts real recorded activity here — trades posted, trades finished, backpacks holding the pet — over the last 30 days. Those counts are activity, never a value, and they are never mixed into the list numbers. A thousand taps can't move a value on this site, because no tap touches one.

What's coming: values built by our community

The endgame is values our own community builds — from real trades, real votes, and real backpacks recorded right here, with the receipts shown next to every number. I'm being straight with you about what that takes: volume. A trustworthy community value needs lots of real activity behind it, and I won't launch a number that's really just a guess wearing a costume. Until then, the pulse stays labeled as what it is — honest counts — and every value stays sourced. When our numbers are ready, you'll see exactly what they're made of.
